iCORE

The Informatics Circle of Research Excellence (iCORE) was created by the Alberta Government to attract and support exceptional research leaders in information science and engineering.  The goal was to establish a few visionary research clusters that would have a substantial impact on the development of a diversified, robust, rich, Alberta economy.  The iCORE initiative was created by visionaries Bob Church, Lorne Taylor and others.  I was fortunate to have a role implementing this vision as iCORE's founding President and CEO.

iCORE was established in the Fall of 1999 and its first programs were lanuched in January 2000.  Several early  iCORE annual reports can be found below:
